Hi Folks,
The first few days of the program have been exciting. There’s already been plenty of math and fun shared, plus good memories and new friendships formed—something I’m sure you all remember fondly.
For those of us that knew Kelly, it’s been hard not having him here with us, but we know his spirit is and of course always will be.
Yellow Pigs Day will continue as it always has. Most of our students and many staff members never had the chance to meet Kelly, and we want them to experience Yellow Pigs Day as you did—as students—with all its silliness, joy, and tradition. The day will not serve as a memorial for Kelly; that will happen at a later time (TBA).
As always, alumni are warmly invited to join us for Yellow Pigs Day! Come sing carols, eat yellow pig cake, play frisbee, work on silly problem sets, and attend (and maybe give part of) the 17 talk.
To help us plan, please send me an email if you’re thinking of joining us on July 17th.
Sincerely,
Susan
